Hello, young Padawan

Just because it’s as cool as April doesn’t mean we’re not heading into summer. The seasons come and go; no one is the same. Some springs look like summers, and some winters look like springs.

However, the season of infused waters returns with tips for hydrating yourself while caring for your body. Today, we are going to talk about an actual well-being plant.

From the heart of Africa, hibiscus flowers have a multitude of benefits, making them a perfect summer companion. Their refreshing and visually stunning drink is a treat for the senses. Let’s embark on a journey to discover the refreshing nature of hibiscus.

Hibiscus, the asset of your summer.

The infusion of hibiscus flowers, also called Bissap, is best known for its properties allowing good blood circulation in the micro vessels. Thanks to this talent, it prevents hypertension, helps reduce cholesterol levels, and relieves heavy legs during the summer or around the menstrual cycle.

Hibiscus flowers are a treasure trove of health benefits. They contain anthocyanins, flavonoids, phytosterols, and polysaccharides, all of which are known for their slimming, draining, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, soothing, and digestive properties. This diverse range of benefits includes regulating transit, combating fatigue and urinary infections, promoting healthy hair, and cleansing the skin.

Finally, rich in vitamin C, hibiscus is a natural antioxidant that protects the human body against free radicals responsible for cellular aging.

In 2010, researchers from the University of Oslo published in the “Nutrition Journal” the results of a study on the antioxidant qualities of 283 drinks. To everyone’s surprise, it was not green tea that came first, but hibiscus!

You will have understood that the hibiscus flower is a real ally for your health.
