Bright basics for a radiant summer!

“Being on vacation means having nothing to do and having all day to do it”.

Hello, young Padawan

While enjoying some time off on a sunny beach, in the countryside, or in the mountains, it’s essential to relax and recharge. Exploring your vacation spot, taking leisurely walks, discovering swimming spots, admiring beautiful landscapes and charming villages, and ending the day with a delightful dinner at a lovely restaurant are all great ways to unwind. Even better, don’t worry about doing the dishes. If you’re not currently on vacation, I’m sure you can still imagine the scene. And thinking about it is almost as good as being there.

If you’re not on vacation, I know you see the picture, and besides, thinking about it is already a bit like being there. So what makeup do we take on vacation to be stylish for chilling out, or to the office to look like someone who went on vacation? Let’s go.

Summer complexion

You will probably have guessed it: for a cute summer complexion, less is more.

An SPF above all (see my last article here), and then, depending on the desires, I give the ideas. A CC cream to even out the complexion or give a healthy glow effect. You know that my favorite is Madara’s. A pretty natural blush that will bring the tan that you don’t have, or not yet, like this very pretty cream blush from M.A.C that I use every summer, in the shade “so natural,” or the balm from Jones Road in the shade “Dusty rose” for a real no-makeup makeup effect, and for a bit of light on the brow bone and the top of the cheek, a good highlighter, like Victoria Beckham’s stick in “Pearl” shade, which provides just what is needed for a beautiful natural effect.

Still in a natural perspective, a very pretty light and luminous coral with the Kosas liquid eye shadow in shade no. 4 “Heat“, which, once dry, has the advantage of lasting all day, from 7 a.m. until the end of the night, tested and approved after a long day of work followed by a metal concert last summer, I even got beer on my face, the thing didn’t move. Crazy!

The finishing touch to your natural summer look is lip oil. My go-to is the Clarins lip comfort oil in shade No. 2 “Raspberry“. It not only provides nourishment but also adds dimension to your lips, enhancing your overall look.

The summer body complexion

Let’s keep it simple: a touch of glitter and a hint of gold. That’s all you need for a radiant look.

For gold, a good self-tanner will do the trick if you’re on the burning team like me. I’m currently using Mimitika’s, and I’m delighted with it. If you’re on the tanning team, I’m Happy for you, but remember your SPF.

And for the glitter, we need a beautiful glitter oil for the legs, arms, and neckline. The one of your choice will do the trick; for my part, this summer, I chose to treat myself to the magnificent perfumed and glittery oil from Victoria Beckham, which smells of one of my favorite perfumes of the moment, Portofino ’97. Yes, I had something to celebrate, resulting from a lot of work and investment, so your faithful servant deserved a little gift. In addition, excellent news for those who were hesitant: this fragrant and glittery oil smells like an authentic perfume that lasts all day, and the glitter, subtle and delicate, can be seen from morning until evening.

And here is this pretty summer selection, where gold and light will be this summer’s essentials. All you have to do is enjoy the evenings on the after-work terraces if you don’t go on vacation, like many of us, relax in peace with a good book, and enjoy the mild weather.

As for me, I’ll be back next week with a refreshing new infused water recipe. Stay tuned; I’ve already given you a hint!

XO ☀️
