Hello, young Padawan
I have a motto: Let’s bring out the light when the days get shorter!
In decoration with candles and little garlands, with clothes combining a few bright materials or colors, or with the help of a little makeup, the subject of today’s article is to inspire you to brighten your mood and appearance during the autumn season, even when the weather is gray and dark at 5 p.m.
So here we are with this small selection of autumnal makeup to apply in five minutes flat, which will bring you a little good humor in this sometimes brutal world.
Revolver eyes
To emphasize the eyes, we always have the impression that we need a thousand products and a professional technique, but no, all we need is the right product(s), a finger, or a brush, and that’s it. I always prefer liquid eyeshadow when I don’t have time and want to shine in society, or at least on my eyelids. To apply with a finger, we can finish the blurring with a brush if necessary or desired. It is always long-lasting, from morning to night; nothing is better when we are in a hurry but still want to have fun.
Among my three favorites is the Dazzle stick by KVD beauty, here in the shade Flash Storm, a sublime brown with small glitters in cold undertones, which brings style, and depending on whether you put a little or a lot, it can be bright and discreet or festive, and once dry, it does not move from 7 a.m. to midnight.
I also love the liquid eyeshadow by Glossier Lidstar in the shade Cub. It is a wonderful pinkish copper with micro glitters present, but discreet, which suits everyone, no matter the skin tone or eye color, it is fabulous. It wakes the eyes and brings light, joy, and good humor.
A little more classic is the liquid eyeshadow First Light 02 by GenSee. It applies like butter, a marvel to work with. It is a beautiful light brown, almost pinkish champagne, luminous, without glitter, which suits all skin tones.
Finally, a potted shadow with a crazy hold and sublime; it is the colorful metal effect eyeshadow from Sephora in the shade 08 or 218 – Shock Choc. It is a magnificent luminous iced brown with pretty cold gold glitter, a joy to work with; once in place, it does not move.
The bewitching complexion
To give a healthy glow when you’ve slept four hours and your vacation dates back to the Roman Empire, I have a crazy tip I already talked about not long ago here, but I will repeat it, given its success. It’s the tinted emulsion from Dr Hauschka. One pump in the day cream, you mix, you apply, being careful not to leave any marks on the contours of the face, and voila, here you are, back from Saint-Barth, jet lag and overdraft less.
As for the blush, I like to go for a slightly brownish pink or old pink, which is incredibly luminous for the cold season. This is a little reminder with this one, the rocker from Benefit, to remind you to get out your old blush since this one is discontinued, but who doesn’t have a luminous pink blush in their drawers, I ask?
Finally, I made a (very!) nice discovery: the makeup artist Violette Serrat’s lipsticks. She made very pretty luminous balms, the Sheer Lip Shine, like the one I’m showing in the photo, in the shade Pomme d’Amour, a pretty poppy red, moisturizing and buildable, but also and especially the Bisou Balm, which are blurred effect balms, bitten lips effect, of which you can see the shade Bonbon Myrtille in the pics. It’s pretty difficult to explain, but it’s less coloring than a matte lipstick, meaning it looks more like a Korean lipstick, all in subtlety. Long-lasting and, so to speak, transfer-free, they are easy to live with, do not dry out the lips, and are forgotten while providing comfort and hydration. It’s an absolute favorite.
And here is the cute selection to bring a little light, joy, and good humor to this dull season. I know many of you are a little sad, lacking light and vacation time, but cheer up; the solstice is on December 21, which means that from the 22nd, the days will slowly get longer.
XO ✨
